Perform Network Grooms for cost savings initiative XO Communications.

Network and circuit design in Metasolv M6. Perform grooms for least cost routing for cost saving efforts. Order new DS3 and T1 facilities from vendors to cut costs. Design new circuits in Metasolv. Circuit designs range from OC48 and GIGE down to DS1 and DS0 designs. Work with ASRs, ISRs, and PSRs within the M6 system. Work on cost savings efforts with Bell Canada to reduce cost on GIGE and Data circuits . Work closely with client and vendors to insure accurate and correct orders and designs per company standards. Correct equipment and circuit designs and rebuild DWDM and SONET rings from legacy databases, CLRs and DLRs and reconstruct in M6. Update equipment specs and configurations to support the new designs and methodology. Cross check data from legacy systems with techs on site to verify designs for accuracy. Use CAD drawings of sites to help verify equipment and rack layout. Use drawings and equipment documentation to verify Equipment specs and card layout. Resolve user trouble tickets for Equipment, SONET and DWDM issues.

Contractor for Peerless Networks to load customer data into custom OSS. Network and Circuit Design in M6 for the PEG Bandwidth Ehternet network. Help them build their legacy network in the M6 system. Build and design Nodes in the M6 system for the designs of DWDM networks and Ethernet rings. Build radio networks and equipment in Metasolv. Work with Peg to help model the equipment to make it easier for engineers to use in designs. Helped train contractors in how to use the Network Systems Design finction in M6. Data reconciliation project for Alaska Communications. Help recreate Circuit Designs from Visio into Sparks system. Create new orders to help update billing and verify information is accurate in Sparks by pulling info from CABS, Martens, and Saville Billing systems. Cross check data with original Visio orders and circuit designs. Track daily and weekly progress on Excel documents and weekly conference calls.

Work as Transmission engineer ordering up circuits out to Cell Sites, Tandem And End Office groups, Ordered A_Links and 911 service. Helped launch new markets. Loaded new sites and circuits into Granite and utilized the Granite Workflow tool, and worked with Xperweb. Worked with Vendors to help test and turn up systems in time for launch of markets.
